FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Last week the Governor vetoed three bills that protect the children of this State. Currently in the North Carolina General Assembly, we have a supermajority in both the House and the Senate, but we cannot afford to take anything for granted.
Our legislators are coming under heavy pressure to allow the veto of our tyrannical Governor stand on these three bills, preventing them from becoming Law.
We urge you to call and email your Representatives and Senators asking them to vote to OVERRIDE the Governor’s veto on the following bills:
- The Parents’ Bill of Rights (SB 29), which will clarify and codify into law that parents may direct the upbringing of their children, specifically in the areas of education and healthcare.
- Fairness in Women’s Sports Act (HB 574), requires sports teams from middle, high school, and at the collegiate level to be designated as male, female, or co-ed on the basis of BIOLOGICAL sex. It also will PROHIBIT biological males from participating in women’s sports.
- Gender Transition/Minors (HB 808), prevents the administration of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender transitional surgery on minors in North Carolina. Further, it prevents state taxpayer dollars from being used to par for these mutilating practices.
We the People cannot leave anything to chance. This battle is not over simply because it has passed the House and Senate, we must now direct our General Assembly to override the Governor’s veto and make this the Law of the Land here in North Carolina.
Every day that passes without these becoming law, our children are unprotected. We have to change that immediately. Please reach out to your elected officials and urge them to override these bills NOW.
